In anticipation of the coming new year, new century and new, third millennium, I was inspired to paint again in the late 90s...a return to what I had always wanted.  I believed strongly, that this rite of passage...this beginning of the third millennium on earth would not go unmarked.  At the tick of a clock, an invisible nothing was about to occur.  Even though the concern over computer failures turned out to be a non-event, the predictions of a catastrophe gave the new year an eerie edge.  I believed strongly, that something ominous could still be on the horizon.  That thought translated into these invented scenes, prompted by a point in time.
